Family History Research

Research packages are a full-service option. Depending on your research question(s), this may include analysis of DNA data, paper-trail research (online and/or on-site), and setting your ancestors in historical context.  Every project is unique, but each one includes the following elements:

• A free consultation to discuss your research goals
• A written agreement describing the scope of work and fees
• A written report that includes our analysis of the question(s) you asked us to research, as well as full citations of all records used in the research (including those records that didn’t turn up any information about your ancestors)

A Great Option If:

• You’re curious about where you fit into history, but you don’t have the time to do the research yourself.
• You’ve done research on your own, but you’d like help with DNA analysis or getting past a brick wall.
• You’re looking for a truly one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one.

Getting Organized

If you need help in getting your “out of control” piles organized, we can help. Virtual consultations allow us to work with you to put a plan in place so you can move forward effective and efficiently with your research projects.

Lineage Society Applications

Interested in joining a lineage society? There are many different lineage societies. Each has its own set of rules for application. Whether it’s the Mayflower Society, the Daughters of the Revolution or another lineage society, let us help you navigate the process.

Heritage Travel

Would you like to visit the land of your ancestors? And walk in their footsteps? We can help you to plan for a meaningful experience. Our services help you map out a plan. We can help you connect with local residents, maybe even a distant cousin!

Analyzing Documents

Taking a closer look at the clues held within a document, family bible, application? We can provide you with context and help you identify ways this document can lead to other family discoveries.

Genealogy Research Coaching

In-person, on-line, and/or by phone. We can provide you:

• step-by-step guidance with your research showing you how to begin genealogy
• how to make a research plan;
• how to find repositories and research in them;
• how to break down a genealogy research brick wall, giving your research problem a new perspective, or customizing the coaching to fit your individual needs. And you don’t have to be near us to let us help you with your research! We can conduct the training sessions using technology. All sessions are recorded and you receive the video to refer back to again and again. Plus, you receive a short summary of our sessions with tips and helps that we discussed during your session.

Not seeing what you’re looking for? Ask. We will do record retrievals, take tombstone photos and can create heirloom quality family tree charts and other specialized services.
